My dearest Shelby, I can’t believe you have grown so much over these past five months! I remember how little you were when you came home for the first time. That first car ride was hard for you, but you’ve learned to love car rides since. When you were tiny, it was hard for me to treat you the way you needed to be treated because I didn’t know how! I was so scared. I grew up not knowing how sweet doggies could be. At first, it was a challenge to pet you, feed you, and even get near you. It wasn’t long, though, until you knew us, and I knew you. It has been such a joy to be with you these past few months. Though there have been some hard times, the good times have by far surpassed all other times. You have grown in so many ways, and I have too! Thank you for giving Josh and me so much laughter. We love you and we are so glad you're with us!
